Sociologist Alisdair McIntyre observed that, “I can only answer the question ‘What am I to do?’ if I can answer the prior question ‘Of what story or stories do I find myself a part?’”
The great drama of humanity is a story unfolding in 4 acts: Creation, Fall, Redemption and Restoration. We can only really understand our part when we have a good grasp of the whole.
That whole teaches us that . . .
- The Christian message is a message of total truth.
- Christian salvation is a redemption of our total humanity.
- Every aspect of our lives is an opportunity for eternal significance and worship.
The fulness of the gospel aligns our total humanity around the blazing center of the glory of God, filling our whole lives with meaning and purpose.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:17
