Ordinary men who show up faithfully in daily fatherhood have an extraordinary impact on the world.Sunday we found encouragement for ordinary Dads who are:
1. Free in affection (Matthew 3:17)
2. Constant in instruction (Deuteronomy 6:4-9)
3. Consistent in discipline (Hebrews 12:7-11)
4. Strong in grace (2 Timothy 2:1)
I believe that one day, when the work of every father is done, when the light of eternity reveals every man for what they are in the sight of God, the most important men will not be the famous, wealthy or celebrated, but the faithful who showed up day after day for the long haul.
Dads, we have been given a wonderful privilege. Our kids don’t need perfect men, they need faithful men. And the more grace we need, the better equipped we will be to teach our kids how to find grace in Christ.
