Sermon by Randy Williams · Jul 12, 2026

Sunday morning my friend Randy Williams was with us for a sermon on Matthew 6:9. I was especially encouraged by his example as a father relentlessly communicating his love to his adopted son.

Some of us are like that young boy, living in fear that one public mistake will result in rejection.

In teaching us to pray, “Our Father in heaven”, Jesus was initiating us into a a whole new way of relating to God. Not on the basis of fear, but on the basis of settled assurance of love.

May we all experience anew the voice of the Holy Spirit communicating the Father’s love to our hearts.
