Sermon by Pastor Tom Brown · Jul 07, 2024

In 2 Corinthians 12:9, we see God’s response to Paul’s prayer for relief from a painful trial.

The answer is no. Paul’s pain was accomplishing something far more valuable than his comfort.

This is a principle that is found repeated throughout the history of redemption.

The place where we end and Jesus begins is a place of power and grace.

It’s a place where we don’t tend to want to go.

So God graciously takes us to the end of our strength, our ability, our wisdom, our righteousness.

Because when we are done relying on ourselves, we are positioned to receive all sufficient grace from heaven.

Friend, are you coming to the end of yourself these days?

Rejoice! You’re exactly where you are supposed to be. Throw yourself with confidence on the mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus!
