I imagine the host of heaven each year at Advent leaning over and calling out to the churches, “Do it again!” “Tell the old story of Christmas again!”
The story never gets old. Not only because it is the best story ever told, but because it isn’t finished. Every time a soul receives the Christmas story with faith, a glorious new chapter of salvation begins.
As we continue on into the Advent celebrations this month I invite you to join me in this prayer from the mouth of Mary, “may it be unto me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38)
