Sermon by Pastor Tom Brown · Dec 21, 2025

Unfortunately, sermon audio is unavailable for this week.

There are two fundamental ways to approach Christmas (and all of life).

We can live incurvatus in se, curved in on ourselves.

Or elevatus ad deum, elevated into God.

Through the fall we are hopelessly bound to our own interests. Despite our best intentions to rise up to love and righteousness we always fall victim to the gravity of self.

But Christ came to free us from ourselves and elevate our souls into the heavenly realms in God.

The more we place Christ at the center of our lives in worship, the more our lives will take on the substance and joy of eternity.

May your hearts be filled with that worship this week!

“In the Christian story God descends to re-ascend. He comes down…down to the very roots and sea-bed of the Nature he has created. But He goes down to come up again and bring the whole ruined world up with Him.”
~ C.S. Lewis
